Back To Winning Ways
Hi All!
Back to usual winning ways on Tuesday against a very good Bedford team. Luke Robins earns special praise for not only his two goals but his general all round play. Luke is a great lad but sometimes lets his standards slip, keep at it mate and make my choice of forwards as hard as possible.
The game itself was a lively affair with both teams moving the ball quickly and efficiently. I know their Manager John Taylor pretty well and the minute he got the job I knew that he would make Bedford as competitive as he could. They had an extremely good midfield but we not only matched them but bettered them in most departments.
After our last two disappointing results it was great to bounce back so positively.
We have a break from the League this weekend by playing in the next round of the FA Trophy. We take on Tilbury of the Ryman North League. That is Step 4, same as us so a tough but winnable match is in store. We have to build on our fantastic result in the previous round against Wingate. Winning is a habit. We had it only a month or so ago and we need to get it back. Both in the League and in any Cup ties we are involved in. The lads must know that they are good enough so it’s time to prove it week in week out. I’m sure by now the belief is there, just to keep the discipline in EVERY game and remain on the front foot and I’m sure we can start to really make an impact.
I for one am really enjoying the atmosphere around the place at the moment, winning creates that, so many victories to come please boys!
Cheers,
