27 Points Target – Exciting Times!

What a great result we had today!! Beating our title rivals 1-0.

All the boys put a shift in to secure the three points. Not a classic in terms of pure football but the occasion brought it’s fair share of tension so a hard fought battle was won by us!

The whole squad deserve plaudits. I made some certain changes, I’m sure not all of you would have agreed on, but I decided to play a high pressing match and picked a team to suit. Very harsh on lads who had played against Leighton but I have to go on what I believe.

The squad were as one today. The atmosphere amongst the boys was as positive as I’ve known it, all terrific signs for future encounters!

It’s still so tight up there. Kings Langley still winning as well as Egham. We all must feel if we win all our remaining games we will win it.

Us and Egham have to play each other twice so that’s in our hands. Kings Langley have an easier run in but being top always brings its own complications because every team will be determined to have one over them!

27 points for us to get!! A tall order but that’s the aim!

As I’ve said recently the League has been consistent with its inconsistency so I’m sure there will be some more twists and turns before the end.
