Need That Cutting Edge

Hi there.

Sorry about the lack of a blog after the Egham game. This was due to my phone not working.

Reporting in to cover both games which in lots of ways were very similar.

In both, in my opinion, we dominated but lacked the cutting edge up front.

Very frustrating for everyone concerned, especially our forwards who hopefully will put it behind them and come good as soon as possible!!

All the squad are great lads. Very honest and hard working. I do feel for them but now is not the time to feel sorry for ourselves. We all need to remain positive, believe in one another and push on!!

It’s not devastating at the moment. We are still undefeated, we need 2 wins to get to a title winning position. 2 points per game gets us there and with the domination we are showing I’m confident we can reach the target quickly!

Last night we had a sending off with Scott attempting a tackle that looked a lot worse than the fuss that ensued by their players, resulting in the sending off decision!

Scott unfortunately has got a reputation for reckless challenges. In the past I have not defended him but in this case I honestly thought that it looked a lot worse than it really was. Other teams scream at referees who have to remain strong but in this case the refeeree buckled and a sending off put us on the back foot.

Lads. Keep together! The atmosphere is tremendous, put it all behind us and move on, starting Saturday.

Lastly my and the team’s deepest sympathies for our Physio Kim Shepherd who sadly lost her Dad earlier in the week. Kim our love and thoughts are with you!!

Onto the FA Cup on Saturday. We will be taking the tie extremely seriously.

Hopefully other than the lack of goals you have enjoyed the dominating play we have shown.

The results will come as long as we ALL stay together!!

Cheers
SC
