Freshened Up Crows Earn Good Win
Hello.
Another good win for the “Crows” today against a strong Uxbridge team.
The order of the day from the coaching staff was to respond from our last poor performance two Saturdays ago. That we certainly did.
The attitude from all the boys was superb. Yet again tough choices were made with leaving Martel Powell, Simon Thomas and Josh Castiglione out of the squad and brought back in Ryan Towner, Jack Bradshaw and Ryan Ingrey.
The team “Freshened” up we got about Uxbridge with an excellent start, dominating the early encounters, although as the game went on our opponents slowly dragged themselves into the match and if our terrific goalkeeper wasn’t on his toes they may well have gone into half time 1-0 up.
Second half and with wind advantage we tried to step up the intensity. Gary Cohen came on for the injured Ryan Ingrey. It took a while for Gary to get into the match but when given a fantastic through ball by Danny May, expertly dispatched the ball into Uxbridge’s goal.
Not long after John Frendo making his full debut got into the act by finishing with great skill in the box putting us in a comfortable 2-0 position.
Onto Tuesday. A home game against our near neighbours Barton Rovers. Always hard matches and I’m sure this will be no different.
Cheers,
SC
