Professionalism

A great comprehensive result to report on tonight as we dispatched a lowly Gosport team by 5 goals to 0. With both teams’ league position it probably doesn’t come as a surprise but we still had to deal with a determined opposition and although the first goal took a while to come the end result was very satisfying.

Good solid performances are coming regularly now both collectively and individually. I hope everyone involved are enjoying the games, as said we have a run of very winnable matches to come and if we can apply ourselves like we have recently we could really push on.

The word for me is “Professionalism”.

We need to be professional in everything we do both on and off the pitch. Not saying we haven’t been but with the amount of games coming in such a short time, we really have to look after ourselves.

Onto Tuesday and a Herts Senior Cup tie against a high flying Berkhamsted team. A dilemma to be had in team selection. We as a club really want to progress in this competition but at the same time we have 6 games to play in January alone so a careful approach is needed I feel.

Cheers
