Exciting Times

The wins keep coming and although on paper our last 3 would have been expected beforehand we still have to do the “Business” and win them. Thankfully we did and we know find ourselves in the quarter final of our County Cup and on the threshold of the play off places with still our games in hand to play!!

Good times but not to get too Carried away, there’s still so much football to be played that nothing is for certain but what it does do is give us an opportunity to be in the mix for the 2nd half of the season.

So more of the same from the boys and from the staff a remit to add to this talented group to make us even stronger come the busy period ahead!

On that subject we have Signed Sam Gaughran from Kings Lynn. A centre half that has played most of this season for our rivals, Sam had fallen out of favour and approached us, we are happy to get him in, especially with our loan signing from Cambridge Utd, Harry Darling being recalled. The other signing is Rohdell Gordon from Hayes & Yeading. Rohdell is a lad I have known for a while, an extremely talented player who has lost his way slightly. Hopefully with the familiarity he has not only with me but squad lads that also know him, we can get him back to the level he’s skills deserve to be in.

For a while now we have been a little short in numbers in terms of a squad, with unfortunately us losing James Potton at the end of January, Harry Darling as I mentioned gone back to his parent club, some of the current squad having slight injury issues, in my opinion it was a good time to add.
Back to the football and our next game is on Tuesday against Hertford Town in the County Cup. To be honest I would have preferred the original tie which was a League game against Kings Langley but with the cup taking precedence we play the quarter final next.

With so many matches coming up it will be a balancing act to get everyone minutes but still try to keep lads fresh as possible.

Exciting times, please Keep the support up it is very much appreciated, and hopefully we can make you proud of us!!
Cheers
