Good Times

A long, wet journey to endure yesterday but ultimately enjoyable not just because of the fantastic result, a 4-1 win but the general uplifting atmosphere that was in the coach for the duration of the journey.

The conditions were as bad as I’ve witnessed and that’s saying something from me who played through the 80’s and 90’s. In truth in my opinion the match probably shouldn’t have been played, at the final stages of the game the ball wouldn’t roll. Considering the conditions our boys tried to play, admirable but at times naive because the pitch was so bad.

It seemed that the Frome players were used to the terrible surface slightly better than ourselves initially but we slowly grew into the game and having to come back from a 1 goal deficit made the result doubly satisfying.

Hopefully we will have everyone available for the upcoming matches, arguably THE most important games of the season. Adam Marriott will be back for selection for Tuesday so a tough choice to make yet again!

Good times! May they keep coming!!

Cheers
