FROM A CANARY TO A CROW!

 

Royston Town are pleased to announce the signing of 23-year-old central midfielder Devonte Aransibia from Potters Bar Town.

Devonte was at Norwich City from 13 years of age and was rewarded with a professional contract from the Canaries in 2017.  He then had an extended loan spell at National League South side, Billericay Town.

 

Upon being released by Norwich, Devonte joined Potters Bar Town on 13th August 2021.

The Crows management team have been admirers of Aransibia for sometime and Crows Assistant Manager, Chris Watters commented:

“Devonte was presented to us by our Head of Recruitment as a ‘MUST HAVE’  signing and as such we have monitored him closely for a while. He is a true athlete and is a big, powerful central midfielder who is comfortable with the ball at his feet.”

“Central midfield is an area that we’ve wanted to add extra quality into for a while now. It’s not been an easy task but we’ve been searching for the ‘right’ player for us rather than just anybody. We’re sure that the Crows faithful will soon be enjoying Devonte’s performances!”

Devonte trained with his new teammates last night and goes straight into the squad for Saturday’s home game against Lowestoft Town at Garden Walk.
