Diamonds having last week being knocked out of the League Cup in the Semi Final and losing the last two league games to teams above them were this week playing the team at current top of the league. Would they this week have their heads a bit down as happened earlier in the season or bounce back as you would hope.

Diamonds started strong and continued to do so throughout. A bit of panic on the ball stopped them going ahead on several occasions but that can also be said of Colts.

Shots from too tight an angle and poor crossing meant the good pressure by Diamonds did not pay off untill Lewis M got the ball on halfway and went past two and on the edge of the area drove a shot that was still rising when it went above the keepers reach and nearly burst the back of the net. 0-1.

Diamonds carried on from there but Colts had their moments too. It got a bit gritty at times with pushes, clipped ankles and a bit of afters that saw the ref warn a player from both sides that they would be sent off if it carried on.  Diamonds started to let Colts play and were not closing down quick enough this enabled them to get through midfield and attack and came close.  A great shot was saved by Bradley completely airbourn diving to his right that very few keepers would have got anywhere near.

Half time came eventualy and Diamonds were winning away against the top team.
Don't do anything different except close 'em down and dont let them play was the half time talk.

Second half saw even football played and a few injuries on each side, at times it could have gotten out of hand.

Zac moved up to play midfield and within a minute the ball came to him ten yards out and he simply stroked it into the back of the net 0-2 brillliant.

Diamonds don't do things the easy way as a rule and with ten minutes to go Colts broke through and hit a low shot that went under Bradley before he could get down to it.1-2

After twenty minutes the ref blew the whistle and the Diamonds had won 1-2 a good all round performance with players being rolled on and rolled off often in different positions and doing so with a great attitude. Football played like this is a pleasure to watch and be apart of. Everyone played their part today and just edging it was Joseph being awarded man of the match.
