Men of the Match |
Joe, Kyle, Olly and Callum – couldn’t have done anymore |
Team – George, Tommy T, Joe, Olly, Kyle, Adam, Callum,
I was looking forward to this match as I felt it would define our season.
Weather was good, pitch was big but surface excellent.
Apart from some notable exceptions we were poor today. Not taking anything away from Teversham who were strong, fast and sharp in front of goal and thoroughly deserved their win. Today was not about ability it was about attitude and desire.
Too many of our players were not at the races today and the guys who did put in a full shift must feel let down by some of their team-mates.
Special mentions…
Joe – superb throughout marking a tricky and fast player and done really well.
Olly – fantastic game – never gave up – showing real character.
Kyle – strong, excellent tackles – running and covering all match.
Callum – Combative and hard-working – great game.
Tommy – struggling with injury but still went in goal when needed.
George – some good saves in first half – took a knock before half-time.
Lewis – came on and put in a top effort.
Learn from this defeat – Enjoy the break and come back stronger.
