New Signings For Crows
Royston Town FC is pleased to announce the signings of midfielders Adie Cambridge and Robbie Nightingale. Cambridge (38) and Nightingale (32) have both been prominent members of Evo Stik Southern Premier Division neighbours Cambridge City in recent seasons and were both instrumental players in Histon FC's rise through the non league pyramid system up to the Football Conference Premier Division.
Both have penned two year deals until the end of season 2014/15 and are the first new summer signings made by Crows manager Paul Attfield in an attempt to strengthen his squad further after an impressive seventh placed finish in their debut season in the Evo Stik Southern Central Division, missing out on a play-off spot by just two points.
Attfield commented: " I am thrilled that both Adie and Robbie have committed themselves to our progressive ambitions for the next two seasons. Both have immense playing experience at the very top level of non league football and that experience will be invaluable for our push for promotion next season. We have a group of very talented players but with very little experience at this level of football and against the better sides in our league last season that inexperience was very evident in performances and results.
The guidance both on and off the field that players like Adie and Robbie can offer cannot be underestimated and I am very excited to be working with them for the foreseeable future"
The club can also confirm that Lewis Endacott, Ross Collins, Carl Edwards and Ryan Lockett have all extended their contracts at the Club for a further 2 years.
