A Frustrating Night!

What a night!!

In all my time in football I have never known a game to be called off at such a last minute or also for such a silly reason!

Our match last night was effectively postponed because of a 6 inch piece of “Frozen pitch” it wasn’t even frozen!!

Apologies to you all for coming down for a fruitless exercise.

We were a little under-strength in as much Dan Brathwaite and Liam McDevitt were unavailable due to injury. Erkan Okay was also subject to a fitness test but passed and was OK to play, so the game being off wasn’t the worst decision for us but never the less we still wanted the game on if for nothing more than putting Saturday’s result behind us. Gary Cohen was due his full debut as was Tommy Hull. Both new lads are desperate to show what they can do!

Other results tonight didn’t quite go our way but it leaves us with a couple of games in hand. Obviously we have to win them, especially against Egham and Diamonds. It’s still so tight it will make for an interesting finale.

We are still in there.The support from you all is vital.

The ironic thing about last night’s postponement was that the pitch in my opinion was for the time of year in as good a state as it could possibly be! The lads who are tirelessly working on it are “Stars” thank you Barry and Michael!! It’s much appreciated!

On to Saturday. Arlesey at home. We need to gain maximum points. The belief is there, we just need to lose the anxiety in front of goal. Heroes are needed, we have ’em! Come up and be counted lads!

We know we can do it!!!
