CLUB STATEMENT: STEVE CASTLE

Royston Town FC can today confirm the departure of joint manager Steve Castle after ten years in charge. Steve arrived at Garden Walk in December 2013, with the club in the Southern League Division One Central. He immediately set about instilling a winning mentality, ultimately guiding the Crows to promotion and a place in the Southern League Premier Division.

The club would like to express our sincere gratitude to Steve for his dedication and hard work as manager for the past ten seasons. During his time at the club, Steve has overseen a remarkable period of success, leading us to Step Three of the non-league pyramid for the first time in the club’s history, establishing us as a Step Three side. Steve has also presided over record progress in both the FA Cup and FA Trophy as well as securing the clubs highest honour – the Southern League Challenge Cup.

Steve’s impact on Royston Town FC has been immeasurable and we are incredibly grateful for Steve’s contribution to Royston Town FC. He is undoubtedly the club’s most successful manager of all time. On behalf of everyone at Garden Walk, we wish Steve all the very best for the future.
