We pleased to announce that we have managed to secure the services of the highly sought after 23 year old striker Matt Bateman.

Matt played just 5 minutes of Saturday’s pre-season tournament before sustaining an eye injury. However, he featured prominently and impressed in the first 45 minutes of yesterdays 4-1 pre-season friendly victory against Harpenden Town at The County Ground, Letchworth.

We have been tracking Matt for some time and he played a big part in Berkhamsted’s push for promotion last season. He netted 43 times in 54 appearances for The Comrades last season. Unsurprisingly his goal scoring exploits last term attracted interest from many clubs but we pleased to say that Matt has chosen the Crows.
