JOSH TO FLY THE NEST!
Royston Town FC are sad to announce that Josh Coldicott-Stevens will be departing the club at the end of the current season. Josh has recently been appointed as the Youth Lead at the Stevenage FC academy. This exciting promotion, while a source of pride for Josh and the club, unfortunately means he is no longer able to commit to the travel demands of our league. Everyone at Garden Walk thanks Josh for his contribution to club and wish him every success in his new role.
Chris Watters had this message for Josh:
“I’ve many nasty things I could say about Joshy but I guess this is a time to be kind and express some gratitude towards him.
Josh, if you’re reading this, thank you for agreeing to come over and joining us as a Crow. I’m half honoured and half devastated that you’ll forever be my first managerial signing, but you’ve been outstanding for this club at a time when it needed someone like yourself.
You’ve given us all some fantastic moments to celebrate. For the fans, I’m sure the corners going straight in or the free-kick at Aveley this year will spring to mind, but for me, it’s the sheer audacity you had for bringing those shorts to Barcelona last summer.
WJCS, good luck with the coaching career. I hope you make the steps in that world that your work ethic deserves, but if I can leave you with a final piece of advice, it’ll be this…
Stay away from the buffet in America next time!!!
Much love x”
