Reserves Pre-Season Round-Up
The Crows Reserves completed their pre-season schedule with a fine win over Herts County League opponents Standon & Puckeridge at Garden Walk on Tuesday evening. Goals from Dalton O’Brien ,Roger Skeggs and Aaron Williams sealed the game.
A six yard strike from Gregg Jackson was enough to defeat a well drilled Hadley side on Saturday 11th and Town's other win was against Wodson Park where Adam Sartini , Gregg Jackson and Tyrell Stratton were the scorers.
The two defeats came at the hands of Herne Bay in a match where Town experimented and were without any recognised centre halves. Again, the impressive Tyrell Stratton provided Town's goal.
The other defeat at a strong Harringey & Waltham Development (from the Essex Senior League) was again a 2-1 scoreline, with Stratton again being the goal scorer.
Manager Kev Wilson offered this insight into the philosophy of the Ressies “We have looked at a few new faces, with a few old faces being moved around the pitch. Young players have come into the team and looked really effective. I sure that this season will be a different experience to previous years and all we can do is be at our best .We are in a new league with new players and with John Bitting joining the management team, a new approach. I'm sure that we have some stern challenges ahead but we are ready and on our day more than capable”.
