The Better Team Won Today

Hi there.

A good win to report today at Garden Walk by the Crows, beating fellow League contenders Egham 3-0.

Yet again tough choices to be made before the match to select the starting eleven, never easy but needed to be done.

Yet again the lads started brightly enough but could have tested their defence a bit more.

A tackle by one of their lads caused the unfortunate Danny May to be replaced by Scott Bridges on approximately 20 minutes, pretty much straight after John Frendo was impeded in the box resulting in a penalty, excellently dispatched by Scott. Soon after a free kick put into the box by Scott, knocked down by Adam Murray to John Frendo who finished well to put us 2-0 up at halftime.

A positive halftime talk by Chris and I stating to keep the high standard up at the same time retain our clean sheet was executed very well by the lads and to put the finishing touch off on a convincing win with John Frendo finishing off a superb move, set up by Ryan Towner. 3-0.

Egham couldn’t have many complaints. In my opinion they were beaten by the better team and for us three wins in a row.

Now to carry it on. Belief is high and for me the games can’t come quick enough.

Keep it up boys!!
