TOM’S WEEKEND PREVIEW – 26th & 27th April

Hi and welcome to this final weekend preview with Royston Town FC, Royston Town Women and Royston Town Vets.

First up, Royston Town travel to Shropshire to take on AFC Telford United in their final Southern League Premier Central Match of the season, Saturday, 3pm kick-off. Royston have yet to beat Telford in a league match with our last meeting being a 3-3 draw back in January. Jimmy Armson put the Bucks ahead but just before half time Royston found themselves 2-1 with a Luke Johnson goal in the 44th minute and just before half time Ben Weyman put the Crows ahead. Jesse Akunbuine then got our 3rd but Telford got 2 late goals with their top and league’s top Goalscorer Matty Stenson and Reece Styche salvaged a point between the sides. Royston’s other league meetings was a 2-2 draw at home, and a 3-0 loss for Royston at Telford which was the first game of last season.
