TOM’S WEEKEND PREVIEW – Feb 17th & 18th
Hi and welcome to this weekend’s preview with Royston Town FC, Royston Town Women and Royston Town U23’s.
First up Royston Town FC finally have a Saturday home fixture as they host Mickleover from Derbyshire in the Southern League Premier Central, kick off 3pm. Last time out we lost 2-0 this was the longest run and last consecutive win for Mickleover as they picked up 33 points out of eleven games and had a 100% record. However, since then they have only picked up fifteen more points out of their twenty-eight matches played.

Next up Royston Town Women have a break from the league and have a big cup game when they host Harpenden Town Women in the semi-final of the Herts FA Women’s Cup, on Sunday with a 2pm kick-off. We would love to see supporters turn out in numbers as we look to book a place in the Final. Our attendance record currently stands at 243 so hopefully, we can beat that. This is also the first-ever meeting between the clubs as well.

Last up Royston Town U23’s travel to Buckinghamshire to take on Winslow United in the Spartan South Midlands Division One, kick off 3 pm. Royston Town U23’s have had a few games called off due to weather with two getting called off beforehand and another during a match. So they are looking to get a game under their belt and return to winning ways in the league as well.
