TOM’S WEEKEND PREVIEW – March 23rd & 24th

Hi and welcome to this weekend preview with Royston Town FC and Royston Royston Town U23’s.

This Saturday, Royston Town who have had three Saturday consecutive home fixtures are now back on the road. They travel to Leicestershire to take on Barwell FC in the Southern League Premier Central, Saturday 3pm kick- off. Royston Town will be looking for another three points against our bogey side with only two wins against this lot in our first two games, however, since then Barwell have beaten us four times so we will expect a tough game. Barwell FC was formed in 1992 after a merger of Hinckley and Barwell Athletic and took Hinckley’s place in the Midland Combination. Two years later were founder members of the Midland Alliance where they finished 15th out of 20th above Rushall Olympic who are a level above, while finishing below fellow league side Stratford Town and also West Midlands Police FC. The nickname is the Canaries which is based on their yellow and green kit.
