TOM’S WEEKEND PREVIEW: March 29th – April 1st

Hi and welcome to this weekend’s preview with Royston Town FC and Royston Town U23’s this Easter Weekend.

 

This Saturday, Royston Town are on the road again when they travel to Lincolnshire to take on Stamford AFC in the Southern League Premier Central, 3pm kick-off. This is the first visit Royston Town will be making to Stamford AFC after hosting them earlier on in the season and where we kickstarted our season on the points board after a 1-1 draw after Juwon Akintunde came off the bench and scored. Stamford AFC’s nickname is the Daniels, this came from a person called Daniel Lambert who was born in Leicester but died in the town of Stamford. He was known for his large size.

Adults £12 / Concessions Over 60’s, Blue Light Card, Student Card £8 / U17’s £4 / U11’s Free with paying adult.

Next up, Royston Town U23’s host Winslow United in the Spartan South Midlands Division One, Saturday 3pm kick-off. Royston Town will be looking to dust themselves down after the penalty shootout heartbreak from Wednesday Night and look to finish on a high. If you can’t make the trip to Stamford AFC get down and support the U23’s.

80p for an hour / 90p for 2 hours / £1.20 for 3 hours. / £3.50 for more than 3 hours. After 3pm parking is free.

 

The clubhouse will be open and will also accept cash and card.

Last up Royston Town are back at home when they host Leiston, which also is another league match on Easter Monday. Last time out we managed to get one over Leiston when we won 3-2 on New Year’s Day. After coming from 2-1 down, The goalscorers were Sam Mvemba, Kian Harness and Fabio Virciglio.
