TOM’S WEEKEND PREVIEW – Sept 28th & 29th

Hi and welcome to this weekend’s preview with Royston Town FC and Royston Town Women.

First up, Royston Town take a league break when they host National League North outfit Peterborough Sports on Saturday, 3pm kick-off. Royston Town knocked out higher league opposition in National League South side Aveley away, while Peterborough Sports knocked out Enfield Town away who also play in the National League South. Royston Town have never played Peterborough Sports in a cup match before. Royston Town are just a win away from equalising their best FA Cup run while Peterborough Sports will be hoping to equal it for a 5th time out of 7 seasons.

Parking is limited and the nearest car park is the Town Hall car park postcode SG8 7XB, prices are:
80p for an hour / 90p for 2 hours / £1.20 for 3 hours / £3.50 for more than 3 hours. After 3pm parking is free.

The clubhouse and refreshments will be open and accept cash and cards.

 

Last up, Royston Town are on the road for a 4th and final consecutive time when they travel to Wroxham Women in the Eastern Region Women’s Football League Premier Division on Sunday, 2pm kick-off. Royston Town and Wroxham are the only 2 sides left unbeaten in the league. Our last meeting to Wroxham was a 1-0 win for Royston with Emma Slater scoring our goal. Royston Town will be looking for a 7th win on the bounce after some very good victories. particularly away and especially last weekend’s win at Haringey Borough Women in the FA Cup.
