TOM’S WEEKEND PREVIEW – Sept 7 & 8th

Hi and welcome to this weekends preview with Royston Town FC, Royston Town Women and Royston Town Reserves.

 

First up, Royston Town return to league action when they host Kettering Town in the Southern League Premier Central, Saturday, 3pm kick-off. Royston Town on Monday night put in an impressive FA Cup performance with a 3-0 win against Bedford Town and will hope to take this into the league. Our last meeting against Kettering Town was a 4-0 win for the Crows with our goals coming from all former Royston Town players Kian Harness with a brace, Ronnie Henry and Andronicos Georgiou.

Parking is limited and the nearest car park is the Town Hall car park postcode SG8 7XB, prices are:

80p for an hour / 90p for 2 hours / £1.20 for 3 hours / £3.50 for more than 3 hours. After 3pm parking is free.

 

The clubhouse and refreshments will be open and accept cash and cards.

 

Next up, Royston Town Women begin their 1st out of 4 away fixtures and it starts with a trip to take on County rivals St Albans City Women in the Eastern Region Women’s Football League Premier Division, Sunday, 2pm kick-off. St Albans City Women and Royston Town Women are the only two sides left in the league with a 100% record. Royston’s Town last meeting there was a 1-0 defeat in the league cup. Royston Town and St Albans City will also see former players from last season with Poppy Smith playing for us, while St Albans City had Lucy Ford.

Concessions include: 65+, Students over 23, Unemployed, NHS and Light Blue Services members and serving members of the armed forces.

 

Also the turnstiles at York Road will be closed the turnstiles at Clarence Park and Hatfield Road will be open and it will be CARD ONLY.

Last up, Royston Town Reserves are back in league action also after a week away due to a fixture clash and they travel to Bedfordshire to take on Cranfield United in the Spartan South Midlands League Division One. Royston Town Reserves have yet to beat Cranfield United in a league match the last meeting at Cranfield was a 1-1 draw.
