FIRST TEAM COACH
The ideal candidate for this key role will be a passionate, skilled, and team-oriented coach who embodies the spirit of Royston Town FC: someone with a burning desire to succeed, who thrives in a hardworking and dedicated environment, pushing yourself and the team to reach new heights.
This exciting opportunity is a great fit for an Academy or Non-League coach or an
experienced Manager eager for a new challenge. We’re a tight-knit team that thrives on daily communication and we are looking for someone who shares this commitment and is ready to become a true teammate on and off the pitch.
As an integral part of our Management team, you’ll play a vital role in shaping our team’s success! This includes designing and delivering technical and tactical training sessions that align with our goals. You’ll also be responsible for analyzing and assessing team performance in games and training sessions. To further improve individual and group play, you’ll conduct video analysis sessions as needed. Your expertise will also be crucial in identifying talent – offering valuable insights for recruiting players for all senior teams. Most importantly, you’ll ensure the safety and well-being of all players under your care, while also assisting with the overall management of our senior team players. You’ll be responsible for enforcing the team’s core values and non-negotiables to ensure a consistent and positive environment.
Your keen eye for talent is crucial. You will play a key role in identifying and recruiting the right players to bolster our senior squads. Your expertise will be invaluable in building a team that consistently delivers top performances. Previous experience playing, coaching, or managing in non-league or professional football is a major advantage. Having a network of contacts in professional or semi-professional football that can benefit the club would also be an incredible asset.
On the pitch, your ability to make in-game tactical decisions in the heat of the moment will be crucial. Beyond tactics, you need to possess strong organisational skills and a discreet nature. Furthermore, your excellent communication skills allow you to connect with everyone on the team, from players to non-technical staff. Explaining complex technical concepts in an easy-to-understand way will be essential for fostering a collaborative environment.
You must hold a minimum of a UEFA C Coaching License or its equivalent – a UEFA B or A License is a plus, but not essential. However, we value your capabilities and experience more than just qualifications.

HEAD PHYSIOTHERAPIST
We have a fantastic part-time opportunity for a Head Physiotherapist to join our team.
In this role, you’ll:
- Lead the assessment, treatment, and rehab of injuries for all our teams.
- Work alongside our esteemed coaching staff to deliver top-notch evidence-based care to our players.
- Collaborate with therapists, volunteers, and students to ensure everyone receives the support they need.
- Provide crucial pitch-side cover at home and away games, as well as training sessions.
- Build strong relationships with everyone at the club, from players to management.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Excellent physiotherapy qualifications and experience.
- Strong communication skills to connect effectively with the whole team.
