Steve Castle on Rugby

Hi Everyone and welcome to what we hope to be a regular slot with my comments and views.

To start I would like to welcome Rugby Town to Garden Walk this coming Saturday.

They will probably see themselves as a little hard done by after last seasons exploits? I personally thought they were among the better teams if not the best! I would like to think we will give them a bit more of a test than last year this time, but I'm sure both teams will view this as a good yardstick to judge our progression?

As has been documented I have been really happy with how things have gone in pre-season, although now is when we have to transfer this positive energy to gain points.

My take on the season is to break the games down to five at a time! This way, however important the games are we always see the next target. The lads are given a target of points to achieve, get them and a reward is due. Hopefully this way our lads stay in the 'now' zone. not worrying about anything other their next target!!

Our aim this season is to progress!! If progression means play-offs and promotion then great, but no bold statements will come from us!!

Good luck Rugby for the season and here's to a very interesting last game of the season!!

Yours,
SC
