The Crows came away from Creasey Park with all three points after a comfortable victory over Dunstable Town. The home team had lost narrowly to league leaders Chalfont St Peter 48 hours earlier and this may have had an impact on their performance on the night.
The windy conditions made life difficult for both teams, but the Crows quickly got into their stride and dominated the proceedings, Glen Lamacraft & Lewis Endacott went close early on and Royston forced a series of corners. The opening goal eventually came after 35 minutes, when Ryan Lockett beat the stranded home keeper with a fine lob from 25 yards out.
The second half didn't see either keeper put under too much pressure and the game was made safe when Jack Bradshaw fired in a crisp shot from just inside the area in the 63rd minute.
Team: Gibson, Bradshaw, Apostolos, McGrandles, Cain, Collins (capt), Endacott (Edwards), Martin Standen, Young, Lamacraft (Dance), Lockett.
