With a goal every 6 minutes on average the Reserves simply destroyed
luckless Ampthill in this Division 1 encounter.
Royston's style of attacking football was just awesome.
After just 20 minutes the game was effectively over as a contest with
SCOTT CROSK bagging 3 goals.LEE BATES continued his fine run of form
with a sublime finish high into the net before CROSK added a 5th before
half time.
The midfield duo of JOHN BITTING and CONOR DE LACY (with two) grabbed 3
goals between them with CROSK completing his DOUBLE hat trick firing in
another 3 goals before BATES ,DAVE HONE (on his debut for the reserves) and the ever dangerous BRAD WILKINSON added to the tally.
Manager Kev Wilson added " Paul spoke to me in the week and I simply
passed his message on.The response from the boys was terrific.Over half
of the team are under 21 but they showed great maturity in sticking to
the task in hand today".
There will be sterner tests to come, but on this form the sky's the limit
for this young side.
