Royston continued their progress towards regaining top spot in the table with three well taken second half goals in this local derby on Tuesday.
Despite dominating the first half Royston had no goals to show for their almost absolute possession and had to wait for LIAM MCDEVITT to head them into the lead 20 minutes into the second period.
MATTHEW STANDEN was rewarded for his tireless work rate when he converted a slide rule GREGG JACKSON pass for Town’s second goal and fit again RYAN WEBB was on hand for a simple tap in from RICKY YOUNG’S driven cross for number three.
“We really are on a roll now. We have players returning from injury and the youth team players are more than capable of kicking on at this late stage in our run in”, commented head coach JOHN BITTING, “ on this form all we can do is look forward” he added.
