Rushall jumped above Royston in the league, as they came out on top of this mid-table clash.
It was Royston who started brightly knocking the ball around well and they were rewarded with the opening goal. Josh Castiglione whipped in a deep cross that completely evaded Benjamin Newey in the Pics goal, leaving Harold Joseph to head into the unguarded net.
Rushall were nearly gifted an equaliser as a poor Joe Welch clearance was seized upon by Simeone Maye, but the home keeper redeemed himself by saving the forward’s weak shot.
The away side were on level terms by half time though, as Daniel O’Callaghan flicked in Ashley Sammons free kick.
It was O’Callaghan again who gave Rushall the lead at the start of the second half. There looked to be little danger as the ball bounced around 30 yards from goal, but a sweetly struck shot flew beyond Welch into the top corner.
The lead was extended in the 69th minute as Taylor Parr, under pressure from away skipper Orrin Pendley, headed another Sammons free kick into his own net.
With The Crows turning in a lacklustre second half performance, the Pics could have further extended their lead, as Aran Soleman hit the post and Tyler Little dragged a late shot wide, but in the end they settled for 3 goals and the 3 points.
