Royston Town First Team won 4-0 against Kettering Town in the Southern League Premier Central. Royston Town made a few changes from last weekends defeat to Needham Market with goalkeeper Rylee Mitchell being recalled by Stevenage, Royston brought in Rueben Rabstein from New Salamis just before the deadline day signings. Ed-Afasu Adjaye was also dropped to the bench after picking up a knock, Ronnie Henry returned to the starting line up, Josh Coldicott- Stevens and Josh Dawodu also dropped to the bench in place of Demaray Anyadike and Fabio Virciglio. And with Sam Mvemba missing we called up Mason Cook from the U23’s.
It took Royston just Twelve minutes the go ahead when Andronicos Georgiou’s left footed shot found Kian Harness who finished on a low volley. And it took Royston Town another two minutes when Demaray Anyadike crossed the ball to Kian Harness who finished it again to extend the Crows lead even further. In the 2nd half Royston grabbed a third goal early on in the 2nd half when James Brighton’s corner found Ronnie Henry who headed the ball in and very late on in the game Royston scored a fourth goal when with some very good passing and possession, the ball went to Andronicos Georgiou from the edge of the box and dribbled the ball into the box and his shot went in between two Kettering players and the beat the goalkeeper.
